George T. Arnold, my former journalism professor and adviser at Marshall, is now retired.
He’s penned a short story and asked that I spread the word.
Would you please do so, too, if it so moves you?
He’s a true class act and I’d love to get the word out for him.
The description:
“One Minute Past Christmas” is the story of a Greenbrier County, West Virginia, family in which a grandfather and his granddaughter share a special ability — they call it a gift — that enables them to briefly witness each year a miraculous gathering in the sky. What they see begins at precisely one minute past Christmas and fills them with a much relief as it does wonder. But they worry that the “gift” — which they cannot reveal to anyone else — will die with them because it has been passed to no other relative for forty-four years.
Where to find it:
It’s just now available on Kindle (Amazon), Nook (Barnes & Noble) and something new called Kobobooks. I priced it as cheaply as allowed (99 cents).
Note: This does not pertain to JOMC 711. But …. George T. Arnold has ties to UNC’s J-school. He is friendly with Bill Cloud. He’s an editing guru and has published editing textbooks, too. This man fought the good fight for knuckleheads like me to continue at an ACEJMC-accredited school. So, I feel passionately about his success. Thanks for reading.
